Where is camp located?
Camp Woodcraft is located in Big Bear Valley, CA.
For the safety and privacy of program participants, driving instructions will be provided to program participants prior to program start dates.
What accommodations are available?
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Program participants sleep in cabins on camp-style bunk beds. Each participant will be assigned an individual bunk bed. Cabins have electricity and access to modern bathrooms.
Will there be showers?
Modern bathrooms with showers and toilets are available in select cabins or are within walking distance. Bathroom facilities are equipped with individual stalls for privacy.
What should I bring for sleeping?
Participants are recommended to bring a sleeping bag, and/or a sheet and blanket with a pillow for their bed.
What programs and activities are available on-site?
Camp Woodcraft offers a variety of programs, including School Retreats, Youth Leadership Programs, week-long Sleepaway Camp, Family Camp, Adult Retreats, as well as the opportunities for you to host your private event for your community or corporate group.

Depending on your program of interest, activities may be all-inclusive, or available as add-ons.
What are Health and Safety protocols?
For illnesses and medical emergencies requiring additional assistance, we follow appropriate EMS procedures. The closest hospital is approximately one hour from camp, with emergency helicopter transportation available if needed for a faster transport time.
How do we contact you in case of an emergency?
We will provide participants and guardians with the Camp Director’s phone number as well as a number to our Woodcraft Rangers Headquarter Main Office in downtown Los Angeles as a part of the parent guide.
How do I book for my group?
Summer Camp attendees of Camp Woodcraft have a parent dashboard that is hosted by CampSite. There is a log in button at the top right corner of the website, or you can log in from our registration page here.
How do I book a school group?

What is required to book a group?
Our school retreats are customizable outdoor education that can help meet academic science goals, inspire teamwork and a love for nature. They are available year-round including summer and school breaks. Learn more about our outdoor education opportunities at woodcraftrangers.org and filling out our request for more information form.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It is recommended that you book your school trip as soon as possible. Some groups book up to a year in advanced.
How much does it cost to book?
